Trains on Map MCP server

Trains on Map is a live map of passenger trains across its regions. This MCP server gives an AI assistant the same data: where a train is now, how late it is, what is leaving a platform next, which services are disrupted today, and how punctually a service has been running. It is read-only — it cannot book, change, cancel or pay for a ticket — and it needs no account, no key and no personal data.

Connect

Paste the URL above into any client that speaks the streamable HTTP transport: there is nothing to sign up for and no key to paste. In Claude, Customize → Connectors → + → Add custom connector, and when Claude asks how people connect choose No sign in. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds it once under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web; members then connect individually.

What you can ask

  • "Is the 08:18 from Helsinki delayed, and which platform is it on?"
  • "Where is IC43 now, and which stops has it already left?"
  • "What is leaving Berlin Hbf in the next hour?"
  • "Any cancellations or engineering works in Germany today?"
  • "How often has that service been late over the past two weeks?"

The tools are the server's, not this page's

Tools are added and changed as regions and features land, so the authoritative list is the one the server returns (tools/list), not a copy of it here. What holds for every tool: it is read-only, it takes the country from the server's own country list, and it answers with text an assistant can read plus a link back to the same train or station on the map. Times are in the operator's local time zone, delays are in minutes, positions may be estimated and are labelled as such, long lists are capped and carry their own totals, and a timetable is not a guarantee that a service runs today.

Where the rest lives

  • Regions, data sources and licences — the About page lists each market's upstream feed and its full licence text.
  • Privacy and terms — /privacy and /terms.
  • Support — contact details are on the About page.
